First “Augmented Co-creation” Workshop
A look back at our first workshop dedicated to artificial intelligence, offered by French Craft and Jaùh.
A day of creative exploration for luxury houses, manufacturers, designers and craftsmen around artificial intelligence.Workshop "Augmented Co-creation: from algorithm to object".
Following the success of its Masterclass on artificial intelligence (external link), the French Craft and JAÙH join forces to propose a series of workshops dedicated to the implementation of AI within the workshops.
This workshop is for those who explore new languages creation, at the crossroads of craftsmanship, contemporary design and digital tools. It proposes a sensitive and experimental approach to intelligence artificial, thought as an extension of the hand, not as a replacement.
For design, innovation or R&D departments looking for new design tools and visual narratives to feed their direction Art.
Sectors : Fashion & accessories, Watches / jewellery, Beauty & perfume - packages or limited editions...
For artisans, home designers and innovation managers wishing to integrate a high-value digital culture.
Sectors:Cristalries, weaving, cabinet making, Maroquineries...
To designers who want to integrate AI into their process without giving up their own language.
Sectors:Furniture, luminaire, textile, scenography, edition objects...
Continuing training, post-graduate, graduate workshops or cycles of excellence.
To nourish reflection on form, transmission, mediation or exposure to the digital age.
To cross code, emotion and materiality in a sensitive approach to generative design.
This day of exploration does not aim to teach the use of a new tool, but to become fully aware of the possibilities and limitations of these systems using your own creations.
Henri Danzin
Charles and Henri, co-founders of JAÙH
They met while studying at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 2023, they founded the publishing house JAÙH.
Henri Danzin: He spent nearly 18 years working in new technologies as an entrepreneur. He combines technical mastery of digital tools with a passion for contemporary design and generative art.
Charles de Dainville: Charles spent 15 years at the head of an agency specializing in furniture and scenography for brands. He brings rigorous training in furniture design and a culture of traditional craftsmanship.
About JAUH - Algorithmic Furniture
Founded in March 2023, JAÙH is a furniture design studio that explores the boundaries between generative algorithms and artisanal craftsmanship. Our experimental approach involves integrating algorithms as true creative partners in our collaborations with Poitou carpenters. We develop what we call "algorithmic furniture" - a new approach to generative design where algorithms feed our forms and grammars, enriching our creative process, gestures, and materials, without ever replacing the craftsman or designer. This method allows us to explore the creative "uncanny valley," generating familiar yet subtly offbeat forms that challenge our perceptual habits. At JAÙH, we design less finished objects than generative systems that enable the manufacture of our unique pieces. Each creation is born from a constant dialogue between algorithmic exploration and traditional know-how, embodying a vision of design where technology and craftsmanship enrich each other.
